Bennett’s Creek Little League offers four (4) divisions of softball for players ages six (6) through sixteen (16). These divisions are based upon the player’s age, experience, and development.
Note: Bennett’s Creek Little League reserves the right to place players in the division that is most appropriate for their skill level and maturity as observed by coaches and the League Player Agent.
Minor Coach Pitch Division (ages 6-8):
The Minor Coach Pitch division is softball for girls that are six (6) to eight (8) years old. Six (6) year olds must have at least one year of Tee Ball experience to be eligible in this division. The goal of this division is to prepare players for eventual selection to MInor Player Pitch. The Minor division is structured to provide flexibility, player development, and most importantly, fun! Players in this division MUST attend tryouts even if they are returning to the Minor Coach Pitch division from the previous spring season. Teams are selected by draft. Practices and home games are played at Bennett’s Creek Little League. Away games will be played at other Little Leagues within our district.
Minor Player Pitch Division (ages 8-10):
Our Minor Player Pitch division is fast pitch softball for girls that are eight (8) through ten (10). The goal of this division is to prepare players for eventual selection to a Major Division team. The Minor division is structured to provide flexibility, player development, and most importantly, fun! This division offers postseason tournament play (All Stars) where teams can advance up to State Level. Players in this division MUST attend tryouts even if they are returning to the Minor Player Pitch division from the previous spring season. Teams are selected by draft. Practices and home games are played at Bennett’s Creek Little League. Away games will be played at other Little Leagues within our district.
Major (Little League) Division (ages 10-12):
The Major division, also known as the Little League division, is fastpitch softball for girls ages ten (10) through twelve (12). Major softball allows children to experience an advanced level of play and prepares them for tournament play. This division offers postseason tournament play (All Stars) where teams can advance up to the Little League World Series. Players in this division MUST attend tryouts unless they are a returning Major player from the previous spring season and have not been requested to be released from their previous team. Teams are selected by draft. Practices and home games are played at Bennett’s Creek Little League. Away games will be played at other Little Leagues within our district.
Senior Division (ages 13-16):
The Senior division is fastpitch softball for girls ages thirteen (13) to sixteen (16) years old. This division is the most advanced softball offered by Little League and offers postseason tournament play (All Stars), where teams can advance up to the Little League World Series. Players in this division MUST attend tryouts unless they are a returning Senior player from the previous spring season and have not requested to be released from their previous team. Teams are selected by draft. Practices and home games are played at Bennett’s Creek Little League. Away games will be played at other Little Leagues within our district.
